For me, Unreasonable Hospitality by Will Guidara is a soft recommendation. I enjoyed the storytelling and learning about the journey to create one of the greatest restaurants in the world, but I found many of the leadership lessons repetitive compared to other books I’ve read. However, my favorite part was the specific examples of “surprise and delight” they implemented at their restaurant—small gestures offered to diners that elevated the experience. I’ll definitely be applying some of those ideas to enhance the client experience at Faris Capital Partners.
